And the Moon Sees Me ran the film festival circuit and earned two awards in the process. I am beyond proud of this short film project and adore the crew that came together to make it happen.
How do you escape the forgotten secrets of Appalachia once they see you? A child’s moonlit walk took her deep into the mountains, where paths disappeared and lost things wander. That’s where she found it. Found Her and heard her song. Now the little girl has grown into a woman that’s haunted by loneliness and loss. One night, the full moon brings the darkness directly into her home.
Winner of Outstanding Visual Achievement at the 2025 Appalachian Film Festival, where it debuted, and Best Cinematography at the 2026 Love Your Shorts Film Festival. It was also accepted to Vermont Film & Folklore Festival 2025, Cobb International Film Festival 2025, Atlanta Horror Fest 2025, Snake Alley Festival of Film 2025, and Dam Short Film Festival 2026.
